-More than 15.54 lakh New Voters to Vote First Time in Rajasthan -Number of Registered PWD and Elderly Voters Increased -Total Number of Voters Exceeds 5.32 crore

Jaipur. In Rajasthan, 15,54,604 new voters aged 18-19 years have been added to the electoral rolls since the State Assembly General Elections held November 25 last year. They will exercise their franchise for the first time in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This data emerged from the final publication of the integrated voter lists of 199 assembly constituencies of the state.

Chief Electoral Officer Shri Praveen Gupta said that the Election Department published final electoral rolls on Thursday in all the districts of the state. The published voter lists of 199 assembly constituencies are available on the department website ceorajasthan.nic.in. The final publication of voter lists of Karanpur assembly constituency will be on 13 February.
According to Shri Gupta, presently more than 5.32 crore voters are registered in the state for the Lok Sabha General Election-2024 (including the updated figures of Karanpur Constituency).

Process of adding voter names' continues-

The CEO said that the process of adding names to the voter lists would continue even after February 8. Those persons, who are yet to register, can get their names added to the electoral rolls. The supplementary lists would be updated till 10 days before the last date of nomination for the Lok Sabha General Elections. Citizens can use the Voter Service Portal of the Election Commission of India, Voter Helpline App and BLO App for registration of voters.

Number of disabled and elderly voters increased-

Shri Gupta further stated that special camps were organized at the polling stations for the registration of PWD (Person with Disability) voters on January 19. During the assembly elections in the state last year, total 5,60,425 PWD voters and 11,72,260 voters of age 80 years and above were registered. These numbers have now increased to 5,72,965 and 12,85,960 respectively. Other special voter registration drives were conducted on January 7 and 21, during which women self-help groups actively cooperated for the registration of voters.

Gender Ratio Improved-

As per the final electoral rolls published on February 8, the gender ratio in the voter lists of the state has become 923 as compared to 920. Similarly, the elector population ratio has also hiked to 654 against last year's figure of 650. Presently, the percentage of voters in the age group of 18-19 years among the total registered voters is 2.94. Also, Elector Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) have been issued to all voters in the state.
According to the CEO, after the 2023 Assembly polls, there has been a net increase of 2,79,366 voters in the electoral lists. After the publication of draft lists, during the Special Short Revision (SSR) 2024 conducted recently, 5,20,807 voters added to the lists, while 2,64,564 names have been deleted. Thus, there is a net increase of 2,56,243 voters.
In the published final voter lists of 199 assembly constituencies, there are a total of 5,29,68,476 voters out of which 2,74,75,971 are male, 2,53,51,276 are female and 1,41,229 are service voters. 616 voters of Third Gender are registered in these lists.

In the Final published voter lists, the number of voters has increased by 2 % in 55-Sanganer and 50-Vidyadhar Nagar assembly constituencies. Similar increase in the percentage of voters has been registered in 96-Tonk by 1.73%, 46-Jhotwara by 1.61 % and 49-Hawamahal by 1.54%.

According to the final lists published for 199 assembly constituencies, the number of service voters is 1,41,821, out of which 4,874 are women. Total number of polling stations at 36,090 places across the state is 51,507.

Assembly constituency-wise Highest and lowest Number of voters-

According to the voter lists, maximum 4,37,479 voters are registered in Jhotwara assembly constituency, while 3,60,013 voters are these in Bagru, 3,59,012 in Sanganer, 3,50,638 in Vidyadhar Nagar and 3,38,187 in Luni. The lowest number of voters are registered in Kishanpole assembly constituency with 1,94,902 voters, 1,99,809 in Jodhpur, 2,04,021 in Baseri, 2,10,146 in Pipalda and 2,10,244 voters are registered in Ajmer North.

Highest and lowest number of female voters-

Jhotwara assembly constituency has the highest number of women voters registered at 2,10,464, while the lowest number of women voters are registered in Baseri at 93,096.

Meeting with Political Parties-

The Chief Electoral Officer Shri Praveen Gupta convened a meeting with the representatives of political parties on Thursday itself and shared the details of final voters' lists. During this, all the political parties were suggested to appoint the BLAs. Also, the District Election Officers have been directed to meetings with the recognized political parties at district level and providing them hard or soft copies of voter lists free of cost.

In the meeting, Shri Gupta informed that as per directions of the Election Commission of India, the First Level Checking (FLC) of EVM and VVPAT machines for the Lok Sabha General Elections started January 27 onwards. About 276 engineers from Bharat Electronics Limited, Bengaluru are conducting the exercise in all the districts of the state. By February 7, 65% work of FLC of EVM/VVPAT machines has completed and it would be over by February 16. FLC OK machines are being displayed at the EVM Demonstration Center for the general public to understand the voting process. New voters are enthusiastically participating in the demonstration process.
